How long do brake pads last?
Most vehicles get 30,000–70,000 miles from a set. City driving, towing and stop-and-go traffic wear them faster than highway miles. The only accurate answer comes from measuring them.

Do rotors have to be replaced with the pads?
Not always. If the rotors are above minimum thickness and not warped or scored, they can often stay. We measure first and only recommend replacement when the numbers say so.

Why do my brakes squeal only in the morning?
Light surface rust from overnight humidity is common in East Texas and usually clears after a few stops. Squealing that continues while driving is a different problem and should be inspected.

How often should brake fluid be changed?
Every two to three years for most vehicles. Fluid absorbs moisture, which lowers its boiling point and causes a soft pedal under heavy use. We test the fluid at every brake inspection.
